    23rd June to 13th October - Kirkcudbright Lifeboat: 150th Anniversary Exhibition

    30th June to 27th August - Annual art exhibition at Kirkcudbright Town Hall, 10am to 5pm daily Admission Free. Gifted, a selection of inspiring art works bequeathed or donated to the Dumfries and Galloway Collection.

    Saturday July 7th 2012 - The Box of Frogs, Wigtown, launch of Charlotte's Woolly Yarn by Shalla Gray published by GC Books.

    Wednesday July 11th - Dashwood Square, Newton Stewart. Gary Chadband begins his cycle to London to raise money for Great Ormond Street, Hospital.

    Thursday July 12th - Pipe Band Night, Kirkcudbright. Harbour Square starts 7.30pm.

    Saturday and Sunday 14th 15th July - Garden and Country Fair, The Carse, Tongland Bridge. Annual event featuring specialist nurseries from the region and beyond.
    19th July to 23rd August  - Thursday night is Scottish night at the Harbour Square 7pm. Family entertainment including music and dancing.

    Friday 20th July - Riding of the Marches beginning at Dee Walk 7pm.

    Friday 20th July - Wickerman Music Festival begins.

    Friday 27th July to 17th August - Maggie's Tour starting at the Selkirk Arms, 7pm. Tickets from Solway Books and Summer Festivities Shop.

    Friday 3rd August to Monday 6th August - Arts and Crafts Trail. 150 exhibitors at 60 venues in the town. The trail will take you to houses, studios and gardens not normally open to the public. Get a behind the scenes view of the artist at work. Solway Books will be featuring textile artist Linda Woodfield and illustrator Pauline James.

    Sunday 5th August - Children's Fancy Dress. Harbour Square 1pm.  Also Songs of Praise, Harbour Square 3pm.

    Saturday 11th August - Galloway Recycle Sportif. Event featuring two cycle routes, 102 miles and 76 miles organised by Kirkcudbright Rotary Club.

    Wednesday 22nd August - Tolbooth Art Centre, Times Past with David Devereux curator of the Stewartry Museum. 7pm.

    Saturday 25th August - Parade Day. Leave Millflats at 2.15pm.

    Sunday 26th August - Classic Car Rally. Harbour Square. 12 noon.

    Monday 27th August - Kirkcudbright Tattoo, An evening of entertainment featuring the Black Rock Llamas, Trim the Velvet, four pipe bands and highland dancers. The evening ends with a spectacular firework display. St Cuthbert Street, 7.30pm.

    20th 21st October - Food Festival, Kirkcudbright Town Hall.
