Saturday 3rd December - Fundraiser for Wigtown Book Festival at Wigtown County Buildings from 7pm to 10pm. Jamie Oliver evening with a Ready Steady Cook style cook off along with fun and games. Tickets £5 from the Book Festival office, 01988 402036. Ticket price includes tea and coffee but bring a bottle if you like.

Wednesday 7th December - Mulled Wine and Mince Pies at Solway Books from 1pm until 6pm. Enjoy a 10 % discount off all purcheses.

Thursday 8th December - Late night opening in Kirkcudbright. Shops open until 8pm.

Saturday 17th December - Beltie Day at Solway Books. Meet the author and illustrator of 'The Belties of Curleywee Farm' and join in craft activities at 11am and 2pm. Free tickets available for the craft events but limited availability. Book your place at Solway Books.

Thursdays until Christmas Solway Books will be opening until 8pm.
